Big box no choice

We called Myers to replace a leaking hot water heater. The technician arrived promptly and immediately gave an estimate. The estinmate was $1200. It was this is what we have on the truck no choices. We found out later we could purchase the same water heater for $400.00. To charge $800.00 for installation is a little much. To give them credit their estimate was only 20% over what most independent plumbers would charge. One large company, Ben Franklin, wanted 50% more than Myers.

Unfortunately, Myers Plumbing was the 4th plumber we called. The first plumbing company came out, took a look, and gave us their "flat rate pricing" fee of nearly $1000 to fix 2 small leaks. The other two wouldn't be able to get here for 4-5 days. Then we called Myers. Within a couple of hours Kareem was at our door. He was clean, well dressed and so polite. Well, 45 minutes and $141 later our leaks are fixed. We won't hesitate to call them for any plumbing needs we have.

It's not easy trusting someone to come in your home that you don't know. But, I had some problems with a leak in an upstairs bathroom and so I called Myers. They sent somebody that day due to my situation and even called when they were on their way. But wait, what I have to say next is while I've chosen to write. They sent the most polite young man over to my home who arrived when they said he would, was clean shaven, had a professional appearance and just the sweetest young man I've met in a long time. He got right to business, LISTENING to what I had to say about the situation, worked at a steady pace and even cleaned up when he was thru. You brought my faith back in today's people. I highly recommend this family owned business who genuinely takes interest in it's customers.

WE WERE RECOMMENDED BY BOTH OUR BUILDER AND ONE OF OUR NEIGHBORS TO CALL MYERS PLUMBING WHEN WE FIRST ENTERTAINED THE THOUGHT OF A TANKLESS WATER HEATER. WE CALLED THEM, WERE TRANSFERED TO SERVICE, SPOKE TO A LOVELY YOUNG GIRL WHO GAVE US OPTIONS FOR DATES AND TIMES, AS EARLY AS 7am! oNE OF THEIR PLUMBERS SHOWED UP, ON TIME, WAS POLITE AND GENUINELY INTERESTED IN OUR NEEDS AND WANTS, WAS EFFICIENT AND WAS CLEAN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS WHO TAKES CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS AS IF WE WERE FAMILY!! THANK YOU MYERS. THANK YOU GREG!
Complete Disregard for Customer Service

It took 6 days and 5 phone calls to receive my estimate on plumbing gas lines for a fireplace. Initially the estimate was for 2-3 hours of labor. However the final estimate was for $1750.00 for a day and a half of work. I will not do buisness with a large company that is unable to treat the individual homeowner with any form of respect.
